Scissors

Today I tattooed my lovely and wonderful friend, Maria. She's my maticulous crafter friend who I posted about in my other blog. She found these Victorian style scissors in an underground clipart mag called Craphound. Delicate, and done with a single needle and a tight five. It's about two and a quarter inches tall.

Opposite of this open pair is a closed pair. She's got a lot of life and death themed art. I'm grateful she chose me to do these lovelies.

The Namesake

Welcome

First post. I figured it's time to start blogging about my tattoo experiences now, while I'm still fresh, and excited about the industry, and not an old, jaded fart.
I want to start this off with the evolution of MEDUSA.

This one was a custom job of Medusa for a friend of mine. It's on the front of her thigh, above the knee.
The sketches were made; They were just approved with an enphatic "Fucking amazing. Holy shit." In the meantime I'll paint in watercolors so I have a decent color scheme going for her. Tracing over and over, tweaking and tweaking.

The final product presented above. The painting is currently MIA somewhere in Oakland. All I can say is document any attending art shows thoroughly. It was "lost" by East Bay Express and the Oakland Museum. Oh what a cluster fuck.
